Hey Jim…can’t wait for the book to be published. You worked tirelessly on the campaign and I’m proud to say I was one of the signatures in support of the long overdue honor for “our favorite Phillie”…Richie Ashburn. Your friend…Tom

      Hi Tom……….
Great to hear from you !!! Do you know the best thing about your posting ??? You signed it “your friend”.
One of the greatest things that happened to me during the Whitey campaign, was all the fantastic people I met over those years. I was only one of many many signatures for Whitey. But really, how great was it, that he got to enjoy the last two years of his life as a Hall of Famer.???……………………YOUR FRIEND……….jim

  3. Jim,
    I can’t wait until July 16th…
I can smell the cigars and see that beautiful outfiield grass and that old#1 making a shoe string catch to get Robbie out of a tough inning against those damn brooklyn dodgers at old Connie Mack Stadium…
You were a true old friend to whitey and the best friend I ever had, the best of luck my buddy…
