WHAT A WEEK !!!……………
This was a real great week. Thursday morning, I was on the Preston & Steve Show, on WMMR 93.3 to talk about the book, and promote Saturday & Sunday’s signings. Saturday(9/17) was a signing I’ll always remember. I was signing at Citizens Bank Park, and the Phils went on to win the N.L. East. I’d really like to thank the Phillies organization for the opportunity, and all the great fans who stopped by. Sunday (9/18), was another very special day. The Fall Super Sunday in Media, Pa always draws a fantastic crowd and Sunday was no exception. Again, thank you to everyone for stopping , for a book and talking baseball. I’ve included a photo in this post you might like…………………….jim

THIS WEEK’S EVENTS…………..
This should be a fun week….. Thursday morning (15th) I’ll be on the Preston & Steve Show on WMMR, talking about the book, and having a good time. Saturday the 17th, I’ll be doing a book signing at Citizens Bank Park, on the concourse behind section 111 (1st base side), by the Phillies book stand. The Phils play the Cardinals, and I’ll be signing before the game. If you’re at the ballpark, be sure to stop by and say hi. Sunday, the 18th, I’ll be in Media, Pa for Super Sunday from 9AM to 4PM. I’ll be at 22 W. State St, in front of the Plumstead Inn, with some great Phillies memoribilia, and books to sign. If you’ve ever been to this event, you know how great it is. Finally, I was out to Arizona over Labor Day, for my son’s wedding. We took along a special friend, on our visit to the Grand Canyon. I’ve included with this post, a photo of
our friend Jim Gnomey at the Grand Canyon.

IRENE, IRENE, WHY YOU TREAT ME SO MEAN !!
Well it looks like Hurricane Irene has put a crimp in the weekend schedule. The Sunday game has been moved up to a Saturday day/night doubleheader. This past week was absolutely beautiful at the ballpark, and I’d like to share a couple photos of the park from where I was working this week. I love my job !! If you get down to the park look for my book at the Phillies news
stands located around the ballpark, or ask for it at the Majestic Clubhouse Store on the third base side.

HARD TO BELIEVE HARRY!!………….
It was another great week at the ballpark!! We started a little shaky last Sunday, with the rainout ( which was rescheduled as a day-night doubleheader on Sept 20th ), but that gave me a chance to spend the day with my friends at the Tug McGraw Foundation’s benefit.
Thanks to everyone who came out on a rainy Sunday, to support such a great organization. Monday was an off day for the “Fightin’s”, but we picked up Tues against the D’Backs. Tuesday was also the dedication of the Harry Kalas statue. I got a chance to meet Larry Nolan, the sculptor a couple weeks ago. I think it’s ironic that a really great guy did a statue of a really great guy ?? I posted a couple photos here, including one of a really fantastic sunset after the dedication. Perhaps Harry’s way of saying thanks to the fans? Meet me at the Harry statue……..jim d.
